Default sway bar link ?

i have a 2.5" bb on my rubicon unlimited...are extended links necessary with this amount of lift? if they are, can i take my rears and put them upfront, then buy new extended rear ones? or am i making this up...

yes. that is exactly what you should do. buy new rear links and put the factory rears up front. in fact, i would recommend that you get adjustable links like currie or off road evolution makes. that way, you can set your passenger side link longer by a bit and fix the JK lean.

It really depends on whether you intend to offroad. If you are going to offroad and you disconnect your swaybar you run the risk of overextending the swaybar link when the wheel is at full droop/extension. Basically what happens when it drops out that far is that the swaybar link lines up with the swaybar arm and may flip or rotate the opposite or wrong way. If that happens then it will hit the trackbar and bend when the wheel compresses back into the wheel well. Kind of hard to follow without pictures, but it makes sense in my head. Others on the forum have documented this happening with pictures. It can be avoided by moving the rear links to the front. If you do not plan to go offroad, I don't think it should be a problem.

Have they determined that was the cause of the lean? I know that my passenger side is about 1/4 to 1/2" lower than the driver side. It has been driving me crazy. I have heard everything from full gas tank to binding control arms as the cause. If it is as simple as an adjustable swaybar link I will order one right now.

one more thing..how much of a lift would be possible with the rear links upfront, is there a 'limit'??

so just an adjustable link on the rear passenger side would fix the lean..the front is not an issue?

every jk has the lean and a lift usually exaggerates it. what causes it? i'm pretty sure it's what i like to call the coffin - the gas tank. full up, it's as heavy as a grown man. but, it is easily and totally fixable with adjustable links - trust me. about 1/2" or so taller on the passenger side will do the trick. anymore than that and you will lean the other way - ask me how i know
