Default Sway Bar link and shock absorber ?...........

OK, I got a stock 07 Rubicon which has the factory e-disconnect and I'm thinking of going with either a RC 2.5 BB or the OME 2" coil lift and I'm wondering if I'm going to need longer sway bar links? Seems like some people are doing this and others are not, so is it necessary and how much more travel do you gain? Issue with the factory e-disco? Also, as far as I understand the OME shocks for the 2" kit are a twin tube style shock right? Do they offer anything in a mono tube shock? I'm thinking of going with the OME, but don't want an inferior shock compared to say RE, RC, or Teraflex. Have heard that these OME shocks ride extremely nice though.

I have the OME lift and love it. The shocks are not inferior by any means and the ride quality is great, better than stock. Although you could get away using the stock front sway bar disconnects I would suggest lengthening them to help keep the sway bar more level allowing equal travel both up and down.

so would it be ideal then to get longer links for the rear(how much longer?), and moving the rears to the front?

That is what some lift manufacturers do and works fine. Currie makes some rear track bar links to replace the stock that you move to the front. http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...od=CE-9807RSBX
The links should be long enough to level out the sway bar when on flat level ground. I think 0 degrees is what is recommended for the sway bars.

If you are gonna go up, GO UP! Go 4 inches or bust!

From expereince, if you go 2 inches, you will be frustrated every time you see a JK with a 4 inch lift wishing you went with 4 inches.

just my $0.02. Never mind me. Just blathering on.....

appreciate the input, and when I have the $ to buy another JK to go absolutely insane with, it'll be more than 4", but I drive it on long road trips too and with the price of gas, want to keep it in the sane gas milage range. It's my only vehicle I own, so I have to be realistic for what I use it for
