Default Sway Bar link vs. brake line

_29 7.JPG[/IMG] So I installed my sway bar link just the way that the direction describe and the first time I flexed my rear axle the top bolt caught the brake line pulled it down and broke it. Has anyone else had this problem with the 2.5" Teraflex coil spring lift.

two things. when you installed the brake line drop bracket, did you make sure that the indent was pointing inward towards the center of your jeep and not outward? also, is it safe to assume this is only happening on the driver side? if so, your sway bar most likely has shifted over a bit. pull on it or hit it on the other side with a heavy hammer and recenter it. that should help.

Check to make sure your axle is not too far off-centered due to the lift. Did you install an adjustable track bar?

Just checked,I installed the drop brackets correctly, and I'll try to move the sway bar, but best I can tell it's still centered. I repaired the brakeline and rerouted it above the the frame so it shouldn't happen again, at least on the driver side. Shouldn't teraflex metion that this is a possibilty in the installation instructions, I noticed it right away, but if I hadn't that could have got dangerous.

I just went out and looked at mine. I have been running the coil lift for 5000 miles now with quite a few off-road trips and no problems with the brake lines.
