A decent way to bend flat metal is by using a crescent wrench like this (excuse the crude drawing) -
Remove that peg so you have room, get a large crescent wrench on it and apply force to the driver's side to bend it back the direction you need. Obviously leverage is the key here.....bigger the wrench the better odds of success. You're obviously limited by ground clearance but maybe you can get enough leverage with a 14" wrench to tweak the bracket enough.
Thank you for the tips on this, I definitely understand what needs to be done. I will mess around with it after work today to try and maybe get some movement down there.
I have a local Jeep guy that has done some work in the past, and if I can't get anything done by this weekend I'm going to bring it to him to work his magic. I definitely need to continue to get better with auto work as it is something that is fairly new to me. I'm slowly getting the right tools and equipment to safely/effectively work on the Jeep.
Also what Resharp says is good because if you park on level ground and adjust the sides to simply slide on without rocking or jacking the vehicle you take any side loading away that a misaligned sway bar will cause. Better for on road handling.
