Default Swing away that's not so "away"

A couple of weeks ago, maybe a month, I heard of a company designing a swing away tire carrier that swung with the OE swing gate instead of independantly. Does anyone else remember seeing or hearing about this? Thanks

I remember seeing it. It had an arm that bolted to the tailgate that allowed it to swing. There may be a photo in one of the galleries.

Question wha?

I thought the whole point of a swing away tire carrier was to take the weight of the tire off the body and put it on the frame.... Isn't that why you shouldn't put a larger tire on the swing gate?

I'm pretty sure this is still the case with these bumpers. All the weight is on the tire carriers' hinge instead of the gate but this one is supposedly engineered to swing with the gate instead of seperatly. It's does have it's own hinge though.

Pretty nice rear bumper, but these guys need a photographer that is more than 18" tall.
