Default Switch install--need advice

Got 2 switches made--compressor and winch. Compressor fits great, winch--not so much. The back of the winch switch was a little too deep to fit nicely. I have to shift the switch down to accommodate the depth leaving an ugly gap at the top, plus the switch isn't flush with the plastic.

Any suggestions on how to patch that up and either start over with maybe a new piece of metal? Maybe relocate the switches to the A pillar? Or just leave it be?

Thanks
Steve

Make a single plate that holds both switches. That has worked for me many times in such aggravating situations.

Which winch switch is hitting, the on/off or the in/out? Can you swap the positions of the 2 switch plates and put the winch plate towards the door?
Otherwise, you could get some plastic and make a bezel trim piece to mount on the dash to cover the holes.

You could do something like this. The switches (LED) are from OTRATTW and they make plates that would allow you to put multiple switches or "blanks" in a row. For me, this option worked well because I already had my air pressure gauge there. Also, there is enough room in the back to fit everything.

The angle of the picture is a little off, but it is a perfect fit at the top and bottom.

An option perhaps.
