Default Synergy front track bar brace?

I installed new synergy front adj track bar yesterday. I really had to work to get the drivers side joint into the mount up above the differential. When I was really pushing/pulling on the joint I could noticeably see the track bar bracket flexing! That thing is weak! I was on my back with no real leverage and was moving that thing around with ease.

My question is do any of you use or suggest installing and using the Synergy track bar and sector shaft brace? It's $200 but claims that it will take the load off of that weak OEM bracket AND is a fix for the common death wobble problem...the ovaled track bar bolt hole.

Thoughts?

I'm running the synergy TB brace for that very reason. The factory bracket looked flimsy to me.

I'm also running the Synergy, mainly to brace the steering but having the track bar bracket reinforced probably isn't a bad thing to do

If you are not running 37's or larger you do not need the sector shaft brace. I have an extra Synergy Track Bar Brace for sale if you are interested. It is very beefy and totally reinforces the frame side mount nicely.....Click image for larger version

you can destroy your steering on smaller tires than 37's that's like saying you don't need hydro assist until 40's.

most definitely can destroy your steering on any size tire.....but if his Jeep is a daily driver and not a dedicated trail rig then more than likely he will be fine without a sector shaft brace. One you are into 37's and heavy wheeling you will get by with a sector shaft brace but ultimately you will need Hydro Assist anyways which negates the need for a sector shaft brace. All depends where and how he wheels his Jeep is all.

I thought about doing a sector brace for a while, and never got around to actually doing it... then my steering box went kaput just a few weeks ago.

If you're thinking about doing it, just do it; once your steering goes wonky, and see play in the shaft along with fluid dripping out, it will be too late.

Just finished my hydro assist install with a new box last night. Not that I need it now, but I also did the trackbar brace and sector brace while I was at it (I actually had ordered them before I committed to going hydro assist)

Not to sound like your typical sales guy but I firmly believe in going over board with all of the preventative upgrades. I say preventative upgrades because it is something that will protect or prevent your rig from getting damaged. Its better to over build than be preforming trail side repairs.
