Default Synergy inner axle seals

Getting a regear and figured why not replace the innner seals. Anyone have any experience with the synergys? Are they an improvement over stock?

Default Innel Seals

Those look just like factory seals.

I replaced mine with mopar think they are $17 a pop.

Ya i would say they look the same as factory. I used Off Road Warehouse ones that are the same as stock and they were about 10 bucks each.

They actually don't look just like factory. The factory mopar inner axle seals are two piece and have a ring of sealant on the section of the part that presses into the axle. Those you linked look like the Crown seals that I have seen used and leaked after install. I would use original mopar parts in this instance.

and $50 for those seals is an absolute rip off. The exact same Crown brand is less than $20. Mopar is around $20 as well.

I held up a factory inner axle seal to the ones pictured in the link, and it is identical.
Called the dealer. They said it's the one they still issue. $17.95 each from the local dealer.

That's what I thought too. The ones I removed from mine looked just like the Synergy ones. But the set of new OEM seals were different. Two piece, more solid feeling and had the sealant on the leading edge of the seal that gets pressed into the tube. Not sure what's up, maybe they made a design change.

Wish I had taken a picture of them

Me, too. It would be interesting to see them.
I asked about a design change. The seals the dealer has look like the ones in the link.

So, is there a new or better seal to use then the OEM? Im tired of the OEM failing.
