synthetic oil
Many factors to add in to this question. I can add some information. My jeep does dd dutied and off road on weekends. I use synthetic and change it out on or around 5-6k. DD miles are low, 10 round trip on a long day. My work vehicles, 4-6l a month, I go 10-15k.
I was a professional ase certified mechanic for years, oil is a personal preference, the way up drive it will effect the oil....
Oil has 3 jobs to do:
1.) Lubricate
2.) Clean
3.) Disperse heat
This being said, if u drive ur jeep like it's a muscle car ur gonna need to change it before 3k, drive like a normal person u can get 6 (not recommended, from a professional standpoint) I wouldn't go ANY longer than that.
OIL COMPANIES made the "change ur oil every 3k"
AUTO MAKERS say "6k"
On my 3.8L I run full synthetic Castrol GTX with a Fram Tough Guard filter (my personal preference) and change every 2500 miles

You will find people who change synthetic at 3,000 miles, and people who change synthetic at 10,000 miles, (and more).
Calendar time is a factor, too. I change synthetic oil each April and October. I like to start the hot and cold seasons with fresh oil.
For me that works out to 6,000 miles on the oil.

Imo changin fully synth out every 3k is a waste specially if you are runnin good stuff with a good filter. Mobil . Rp . Amsoil . Motul. ide change it every 5k at minimum and 8k max. Or every 6 months or so. I usualy change before winter and before summer.
