Anything is possible but I just put a pretty heavy pull on my line and it didn't sink into the lower lines. I had to double over with a winch block due to the load. I haven't had the problems others have had and I honestly think we baby the line a little more than it needs, but all that's doing is prolonging the life so it's ok.
