I believe that you should leave it alone
It's not like the old CJ's that we had to lower the t-cases,now you don't have to
I never dropped the TJ either,I think the new Jeeps a good for that

I'm thinking more than three inches is going to require a rear. A front may be okay with a little more maybe four. However, there may be clearance issues with the driveshaft, torn boots, or premature wear and tear on the shaft bearings, etc. I opted to replace them both to avoid the headaches later.

My response is just empirical based on what I see underneath my Jeep stock compared to lifted. There is likely a more definitive answer out there.

to answer ? about 2 door heights. My suspension is 4.5 inch spring front is at max angle on driveshaft side meaning its about rubbing on bottom boot. works fine but It may cause cv to ware faster. My rear i can almost get away with after pinion was corrected.

as far as the tcase drop really therese only a solid mount with a rubber spacer in it to prevent vibesno s=doubt. I wouldnt mess with it but it may be possible to "fab" a shorter mounting bracket if you could get in there to get the other one off. also the tcase in is on angle with front being higher (bc of mount) the rear free hangs it looks like. Im open for ideas but i do believe if the tcase was further down in skidplat the driveshafts would def be centerd up coming out of tcase ends.

ok I took a close look today at what the JKs potential is for a tcase drop. well a big factor remains still; mabye someone know about motor angles. If you jack up the tcase and remove the mount system that is above the crossmember of the frame you could just and a small peice of rubber then lower it on to the actual crossmember...(mabye)? but Jeep put a forward up angle that start at the engine and slopes down towards the rea. Is that for a reason perhaps something would bind like driveshafts do internally in the transmisson or motor...not sure about this but thats what I observed if some tried something put a post up. for me Im going to let it be and change the front drive shaft to a double cardon if it ever breaks the cv out. goodluck Jkers
