i was just looking at warrior products website and according to the directions they want you to drill some mounting holes, i was under the impression that you could use the same bolts from the stock spare tire mount.

i ordered it direct from warriors products. But they did tell me i could get it from one of there resellers cheaper. I just didnt want to wait.

If you have a tire carrier, who cares? The only person to see the bolt holes would be you when you swing open the tire carrier.

I suppose if it is YOU you are trying to please - some rubber plugs from the hardware store work pretty good. You don't want to futz with the vent - unless you really like slamming your doors. Not so bad with the soft top, but a chore with the hard top. Had mine blocked from the inside by some cargo and spent the better part of the day wondering why every time I shoved the door to shut it, the door wouldn't close all the way. Move the crap out of the way - problem solved! I can only imagine what would happen if you completely blocked the vent.

there was no drilling at all. It used the same holes from the tire carrier.
