Default Talk me out of this!?

Someone give me a solid reason not to buy the 9k Badland Winch new @ HF for $249. I know there rep for quality @ HF is not so good, but I have a few of there items and have had no issues. Plus their old model winches got pretty good reviews. Its hard to pass a winch for that price. If you compare the specs to Smittybilt, RR, and warn, it seems to be faster and have a better gear ratio than all but the Warn VR.

Anyone have one of these? If so, is it good or a pile of s@%*.

My friend has the 12,000 lb version and has used it almost every time we've been out on the trails. No problems at all.

Where are you seeing it for $249? Coupon?

Its a coupon from the last issue of Wa/OR Game and Fish. I thought it is a great deal if the winch is any good. The coupon is good until 12/31/11.

If you don't like it, Harbor Freight has their 90 day return policy for a full refund...

A buddy has on on his TJ. We have used it on the trail many times for his rig. He did burn it up once but he had the extended warrenty. We even put a warn sticker on it. Lol

Personally never on my jeep. Bull Dog has one for like 450. Id buy that one if I was going to buy a cheaper one. The actually did really well on the winch showdown in a mag awhile back.
