Default Tan JK Tops...Finally!

Just thought the world should know that you can have any color JK top you want...as long as it's black....and now tan....real tan...Spice Tan actually.

Rough Country is selling replacement skins for TJ through JKU
Rough Country Replacement Soft Top for 10-14 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited (4-door) | Rough Country Suspension Systems

The material is fairly thin, but I expected that. It may not matter given the 3 year warrantly

This is my 2012 JKU in Sahara Tan

When I ordered my trk top nx the description said spice. I was disappointed to open it up and see black. But I'm ok with it now. Still want to see what Black and Tan looks like tho

I noticed the rear window is narrower than the usual 2010 + rear window, are they available or there's only one model available?

And what about the fabric quality?

I need a replacement top or skin, and I was wondering if it was worth a try.

I was not all that impressed with the material quality, but it wasn't all that expensive. I've got a supertop in tan for my CJ5 and it is a little thinner than it's material. The Rough Country top has a real strong vinyl smell like a pool inner tube. With that being said, the fit is pretty good. My opinion is a little skewed though since the top material I took off is the new premium 2014 OEM material. That top material is like window drapes. On the OEM premium top, there are plastic reinforcement tabs screwed into mounting tabs that attach to the overhead top bows. On the rough country top, there are just loops hanging down and you have to just align the top bows and just screw through the material. The windows are melted into the fabric like the original, so that is a plus. I'm pretty happy with it, but the only reason I bought it was for the tan material.

I would say if you are looking for a new black top, I'd go with one of the bestop ones unless you are on a budget, then I'd say go for it. You won't be disappointed with what you paid.

Back Windows; I ordered the 10-14 model top and I was a little confused by the narrow windows. I called Rough Country and they said they used the same narrow rear windows on both year ranges. The difference is the cable and spring attachment on the 10-14 models

Thanks for your advice! I will be looking for something better in this case. I didn't want to pay much, but if it's only gonna last a couple year then **** off, i'll might just try to find a shop that will be able to replace the entire zipper on my rear window.

And I don't really see the relativity between the cables and spring attachments and the rear window... I really like the wider window :/

Yesterday at the shop I removed a brand new soft top with tinted window from a sport 2 door because the customer didn't want it, I asked how much If I wanted to buy it, and its a big 1100$ they answered, that's a lot... I will think about it.

Man, that LOOKS fantastic! I sprung for a tan Spiderwebshade on my Anvil JKU just because there didn't seem to be a solid option to get to that color....but I'm also one of the odd ducks that factory ordered 1/2 doors, so unless RC will also produce upper skins for those, I still lack options
