Default Tax Return: Gears versus Bumper

I was leaning towards getting gears for my rig, but the more I think of it, perhaps a rear bumper and tire carrier is a better spend. If I do gears, I was thinking of going all the way and getting 5.38 but after looking at it more, why don't I just keep it out of OD? Seems like as long as my only problem is top end, I shouldn't waste the money. Am I missing something?

I think I'll probably go with an LOD rear bumper instead. Now do I get the jerry can holders and rack. This stuff adds up fast.

Any comments?

I went with a LOD bumper; but then I'm running 33s and really am not hurting like I would be with larger meats.

hard choice. bumper will change appearance and look great, but gears will improve driveability and prolong the life of your tranny. smart choice is gears, IMO.

DEFINATELY GEARS! I did the bumper first and that was a huge mistake. If you are driving on the road alot and maybe long distances, then 4.88 might be the way to go. Depends on where you spend alot of your time in your jeep.

I would do gears for sure. One of the best changes I have made.
