Default Tearflex Lower Control arm Zirk

Installed the lower front short arms today, and had to remove the zirk on the top so it would not hit the control arm mount, any suggestions?

Leave it out?and plug the hole

I put it on bottom temporarily to grease them, but that wouldn't last through a rock

Put in a needle fitting, they are low profile.

I had this same problem, and am still looking for an answer. The needle zert fitting won't work because even with the needle fitting, the grease gun end can't get in to the hole to shoot the grease in. Unless there is some sort of curved needle fitting, but even that would have to be very specific.
I'm debating my next idea. Talked with Joe at TeraFlex about it and he suggested either notching the bracket out a bit, which I am not thrilled about due to the strength. My next idea is to drill through the front of the heim, which should sort of still be protected... all the way to the center and just add my own zerk.

Here is a pic of the problem - although it looks close, the zerk fitting is actually about 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the front edge of the mount. So, I would have to cut about that much away to gain access to it.

Anyone else have ideas? I am looking for help.

Needle zerk will take it, unscrew it half way, then grease, that's how I do mine. I have a reg zerk on one arm, needle on the other cause the reg zerk broke off.You just gotta drop the arm to hit the needle zerk. The reg zerk on the other arm is facing down.

Or you could unbolt the arm, grease the fitting then re-bolt. A bit more work but would take all of 5 minutes.

I reversed mine so they are on the bottom. I carry a couple extra zerks in my tool bag so it's not that big of a deal if one gets hit.

it can be if you knock the head of the zerk off. if that happens, extracting the rest of it out can be problematic. i think what mkjeep said is your best option.

i was thinkin the same thing,

unless you have a good extractor tool to get the broken piece out easy.

For mine, I just remove the needle zirk, put in a regular zirk, grease it, then put the needle zirk back in.

Yeah that happened to me on the zerk that goes on top, it was a pita to get out, I'm changing my front springs out this weekend and gonna replace the other zerk that hangs down with a needle zerk. It just looks all exposed, waiting to get knocked off. I initially thought a 90degree zerk would work on the top, it got killed second wheeling trip with new arms on.
