Technical lift question
First I must qualify my response with, I am not a suspension engineer only an amateur jeeper.
First issue, with adjustable pan rod bar or drop bracket. If a drop pitman arm is used so should a pan rod drop bracket of the same drop. You should never use one without the other. This causes bump steer due to the pan rod and pitman arm being out of phase with each other.
Second issue, bump stop contact. With the factory setup when the front suspension fully compresses the bumpstops should contact their stops squarely. If you add an adjustable pan rod bar and adjust it 3/4 of an inch longer to center your axle and keep the factory bump stops what happens? Your bumpstops now contact the stop plates 3/4 of an inch further over, are the stop plates wide enough to accommodate this or is their only partial contact? However if you add extended bump stops and keep the pan rod bar factory length what happens? When the suspension compresses the bump stop does not touch the stop plate squarely either, the pan rod bar is now too short and the bump stop is off center in the other direction.
So there are several variables to consider when setting up your suspension. No setup is going to be perfect but a trade off between proper tie rod and pan rod alignment, axle centering at static height and axle centering at full compression.

wayoflife wrote , just to set the record straight, yes, the original batch of coil spacers were apparently made a little too soft and this did cause some issues with the rear coils. However, I've been told that the rear spacers have since been redesigned to address this problem and the kit now has the added bounus of being a little taller too.[/QUOTE]
just got my replacement rear spacers from ft all they did to them was to cut out 1/2''
in the center to make the lip 1/2'' taller so you really only have a 1 1/2'' rear lift .I think it will
work out just fine that way cense the front of the jk is so much lower than the rear.
the front track bar bracket that came with the kit had to be taken out because I had a lot
of bump steer the front-end shop I went to told me it changed the steering geometry to much
and wasn't needed on a small lift. once it was removed the jeep drove like the day I got it.

That sounds more promising. since it seems most of the other 2" spacer lifts don't have anything extra except for the bump stop extensions and stuff.. Glad to hear they corrected the issue for you! pics!!
just got them last night. i will try and get them on this weekend and post
pic's.ft was great to deal with they new the problem and fixed it.it was
also great that they delt with me directly becouse the 4x4 shop i got it from
would'nt do anything at all.
