I have different gearing than you do, but I do a lot of driving in the city. My RPM's are often around 1000-1500. I've been tracking my mileage closely. What I have found so far is my primarily city driving has increased fuel economy 3-4MPG. From @9/10-12/13. It isn't enough by itself to justify buying a supercharger, but it is a benefit. What other performance mod gives you 100+ horsepower, tons more torque and better gas mileage? If anyone knows the answer to this question please tell me. That will be my next mod

From a highway perspective, it is an unbelievable difference. I smile every time I push down the gas and accelerate up a hill without downshifting. That was not a possibility before. However, when I do shift down it is like being in a sports car. The Jeep takes off like a rocket. I am still getting use to this. I end up passing people and going from 70-80/90MPH without thinking twice about it.

I suppose the final question that everyone who is considering this mod would be would I do it again? Knowing what I know now, working closely with the RIPP team, installing it in my garage, reading hundreds of posts, researching all of the competition, etc. The answer is a renounding yes. No question about it. In fact, I have yet to see one person say something bad about RIPP that has bought one. I have done a lot of mods to my Jeep. This is the one that I should have started with. In my opinion, your close to stock Jeep would be a perfect candidate for a RIPP.

I have a '10 6spd. I am debating if i should wait a while before going down this road, or just go for it. The reason i am skeptical is my warranty...has anyone had issues with dealers?

yeah ive heard that too. knowing my luck though, it would be the total void. I guess I can ask my dealer about the possibilities?

The short answer to this question should be yes... you should walk into the dealer and they should say no warranty. Considering there are a handful of dealers that install our stuff and no one across any web forum has reported a total loss of warranty should be encouraging.

This kits is designed for jeepers (adults) that drive 300 miles from home and go 100 miles into the middle of nowhere. We do not by any means push the mechanical limits of the drive-train. If you go to your dealer for a (more likely) wiper motor they will not void the warranty. If you should have an issue the RIPP kit reveres out quickly and you hypothetically could go about your normal routine.

Don't worry too much about it. Enjoy life. If you can supercharge it go for it. Not all have the means to do it. The only problem so far has been blown headgaskets on a few rigs. Srsly, one or two out of 400 ish.

And, there is a very good chance, that those heads would have blown anyway. A few 08's blew head-gaskets WITHOUT a blower. I have an 08 and I did it anyway. And trust me, I've driven it as hard as it can be driven without any problems thus far. (knocks on wood).
Of the 400 GEN1 kits there have been 2 reports of head gasket issues, both traceable to the cause. Of the 125 GEN2 kits on the road we have no reports of issues of any kind, with the exception of CEL here and there.

We suppose anything is possible and if you have that luck go to your local ministry and have it blessed (because we tried real hard to avoid issues).
