Default Tera 44 fluid capacity

So tomorrow is maintenance day. I've finished my break in for my front Tera 44. Does anyone know if the capacity is the same as factory? (1.35 qts)

Also...why are factory 44s different in the front? They're 44s so the capacity should be the same, right??

I can't answer your question about specific capactiy with those axles, but keep in mind that the front axle the seals are at the pumpking while in the rear they are at the end of the tubes.....hence the different fluid capacties. I have the PSC bombshell covers on rubi axles and fill them roughly to the stock measurements.

Ahhh...Good call on the seals! Well in my search endeavors yesterday I saw everything from 1.35qts to 2qts for a front 44. TF confirmed that it's "about the same capacity as stock" so I just split the difference and put about 1.5qts in there. No blow out from the vent tube yet so I should be good! It was a maintenance day yesterday with diff fluid change, oil change, air filter, tire rotation...I just wanted to knock it all out!

It's always good to keep in mind the variables that could effect the level. As an example, an open carrier differential doesn't displace as much fluid as an Air Locker. Pinion angle is also something to consider. A flat pinion angle doesn't use as much fluid as a rotated pinion. Frequently you'll need to raise the front of a rig to get the level right without overflowing the level hole.
