how are the teraflex shocks? would it be better to get the shocks with the kit, or just get the extenders and get different shocks later? this is mainly wifes jeep for now driven mainly around town maybe few trails here and there. she has agreed on a lift but doesnt want to lose the nice ride.

IMHO you a better off with the adapters. The stock shocks are a very good high quality gas charged shock. If you go to a hydro shock youwill regret it later.

If you have a rake issue right now, you may consider the Rubicon Express lift. I've heard that it's 2.5" up front, and 1.75" in back (I think). I had the rake issue, and have installed an FT 2" BB. It's 2" in front and 1.5" in back. Just DO NOT use the trackbar relocation bracket.

I have not installed one yet why do you say not to use it?

If the FT bracket is like the Skyjacker kit and has the relocation bracket on the Axle, then it overstreases the welds on the axle and causes it to fail.

There have been several reports of this failure with that style of relocation bracket.

David,
Are you saying that the teraflex shocks are NOT as good as the stock shocks? And we should use the adapters and forego the shocks from teraflex? Sorry for the highjack, just trying to clearly understand?
Thanks in advance for your assistance...

What Fulcrum said. Though the FT bracket is much shorter, and would put less stress on the welds.

Another problem that I had, is when I would be accelerating, the steering would drift to one side. Then when decelerating, the steering would drift to the other side. If you didn't touch the steering wheel, the steering wheel would actually turn from side to side, while accelerating then decelerating. I removed mine immediately. Problem solved.
