Default Teraflex 2.5 HELP!

I've got all of the back done except the rear track bar bracket. I can't get the crush bolt (middle one) on the rear track bar through, the bracket is below the lip by about 2 mm. I called Joe and he suggested putting a jack under it and pushing it up, but I forgot to ask that I only have one jack! Is it ok to lower the rear axle down on tires without this bolt through so I can jack the rear track bar bracket up? I tried calling Teraflex and no one was home

as long as your shocks, and springs are in your can lower it dwon on the tires. it will be fine. track bar is for lateral movement. i installed my 3" lift this weekend and put both trackbar on that way.

if it wont fit make it fit. if you cant use your jack to raise it up that little bit then why not enlarge the hole in your new bracket? many of the parts in the lift kits i have purchased have been off by just a millimeter or two, which is enough to make things not fit in many cases. if it were mine i would enlarge the hole.

after looking at the pic again i really think you should be able to use a jack and make it work, but if not drill away.

i just thought that same thing. except when i did it i didnt have a friend to push. what i did was after attaching the new bracket i lowered the tires down. then with the track bar attached at the drivers side i jacked up the drivers side of the axle until the bolt on the bracket lined up. jacking up the one side will push it laterally.

Success! I didn't have much luck lifting the passenger side underneath the bracket, I switched to drivers as suggested and it pushed it up some. I had to bore it out a tiny bit, but its through! thanks guys
