Default TeraFlex 2.5" Lift Kit + Bilstein shocks 5100 Series

I've a 2010 Rubicon JK 2-door. I'm considering to install the TeraFlex JK 2-door 2.5" Lift Kit, W/out Shocks (1351002) + BILSTEIN 5100 Series Gas Shock Absorber (I think they work better than Teraflex shocks ... am I wrong?).

Anyone already has such combination installed? Comments?

Ordering the Bilstein 5100 shocks, is there any characteristic I've to pay attention to (lenght, sub-model, ...)

Thanks for your help!

Regards

I believe a rubicon comes with bilstein shocks. I would keep what you have and add shock extenders.

I have this exact setup on a 4dr.
Pretty sure my shock numbers are: BE5-E670-HO, BE5-E671-HO
Bilstien shocks are very nice and not that much, but you already have good shocks....so get the extenders and save the coin. My driveshaft barely rubs the tranny on full articulation with the sway bars disconnected. Something to think about if you have an automatic like me.

I don't have a rubicon but I have the setup your asking about. I rode for two years with stock shocks with the extenders and I can tell you that it's a MUCH MUCH better ride with the bilstein 5100's. I also started having issues with the wear of my tires twards the end. That's the main reason I went ahead and changed out the shocks.

I have this exact setup and love it. The ride is great, height is perfect for what I want. It drives great on the road, feels great on dirt roads, and wheels well. Very happy.

Guys, first of all thanks for the info, I really appreciate, and great pictures!
I'm figuring out if my Rubicon already has Bilstein shocks, anyway I think that 5100 right lenght shocks work better than mine (even if already Bilstein) with shock extender (obviously I've to spend more coin).

Just a doubt about the weight of my CRD (I'm in Europe), if it makes any difference on the schock model ... 5100 series are not in the European Bilstein catalog.

Be well.
