Default Teraflex 2.5 Lift and Shocks

I just bought a Teraflex 2.5 Lift and Shocks and i was looking at the installation instructions on quadratecs website. it will be here this week and my uncle and myself are going to install it this weekend. the instructions on quadratecs site is relatively vague. does anyone know if they send a more detailed instructions with the kit? and or is there any info on here or somewhere else on the web that will help me when installing? ive never done one before and want to make sure it gets done right the first time. any help would greatly be appreciated. thanks in advance because i know you all have something that will help me out.

the instructions on TF website is the same as on quadratec. my kit includes the shocks and springs. i also bought discos, but im pretty sure i know how to install them. im sure i can probably figure it out after some thinking on each step, i just wondered if there was an easier, faster, and overall more efficient way for me to complete the kit.

Tip of the day.

Try your local auto parts store for loaner tools. Many will loan you a spring compressor at no charge.

ETA. It is a fun project, relatively easy, but.....it will take you more time than you think. We just did a 3.5" lift on my son's rig and it took a good 8 hours. Make sure you have another vehicle for a possible run to the store for the inevitable bolt that doesn't fit or if you want to break the project up into a couple of days.

Good luck.

The biggest peice of advice I can tell ya on this kit is NOT TO USE THE TEMPLATE provided for the rear track bar drop bracket. The template is way off. You will just have to measure to get it right. Other than that, pay attention to what you are taking off, and put the new back the dame way. It's an easy lift to install. Spring compressors will also help you out. There is a pretty good write-up on this lift somewhere on this forum, I just can't remember which thread it was in..

I have the same kit on mine. I did not need spring compressors. I had them ready to go, but the new springs slid right into place without any compression needed.
I also think I went by the write-up that I linked to in my earlier post. It is a relatively easy install, and it took me around 5 hours of work and hanging out BSing time.

FutureMarineLT,

Just a couple weeks ago I installed the TF 2.5" suspension/shocks lift. I pretty much just followed the instructions provided by TF step by step and it took me about 5 hours to install. I created a thread with my comments on the install if you want to take a look for things to watch out for.

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...-shock-install

The instructions may seem vague now, but when you actually start turning bolts it all seems to make sense. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns, I will be more than happy to lend some advice.
