Default TeraFlex 2.5" spring kit question..

Hey guys, I am installing the TeraFlex 2.5" spring kit Friday and have new wheels on order to avoid wheel spacers, but they wont be in til next week. Question is..

Is it ok to go ahead with the lift install and without moving the rear sway bar links to the front until I get the new wheels on next week if I'm careful with the jeep in the meantime?

Also, do you think DT would swap them and put the new ones on for a charge when they put the new wheels on? or is it pretty easy to do with minimal tools?

Thanks guys!
Pete

I personally would wait until I had everything on hand.

I'm confused? Install the lift and run stocker wheels till you new ones get there then swap.... what's the problem?

Either way make sure you move the stock rear sway links to the front and install the Teraflex ones on the rear during the install process.

Yes, you can install the lift without moving the links. And yes, you'll be ok driving with the stock links up front for a week, just keep the flexing to a minimum if the swaybar angle is steep.

But if you are installing the lift, why not just install the links at the same time? Or are they coming in with the tires? You could ask DT to install them, but doubt they would. They are easy enough to swap out in your garage in 20 minutes or so.

so there will not be rubbing if I go ahead and move the rears to the front and then put the new ones on the rear before I put the new wheels on?

the kit says it requires the use of wheel spacers on stock wheels for rubbing issues

And you're sure about that? To me it sounded like the wheels did not provide proper backspacing, having nothing to do with the tires...

Stock Rubi wheels and tires typically are ok. Others have clearance issues. Typically the swaybar end links rub the wheel. Make sure to install the new rear links on the inside top and bottom.
