Default Teraflex 44

So, a few questions, first of which is "does anyone have one of these yet?" If so, how do you like it, what made you pick it vs some of the other options out there. Second, how does the Teraflex44 compare to a pr44? price wise, they look very close, and I'm just wondering pros and cons of each. I know some of the benefits of a pr44 is the built in caster and super thick tubes, and I guess it nets some ground clearance vs other dana44s? I think I saw from some discussions before on the teraflex 44 is that it should be alot lighter than than PR44. Wondering what some of the other differences are, and which way most people would swing!

The tera44 looks promising, but is still very new to the scene. I would def opt for the pr44 if you are making your purchase soon. It is a proven housing.

Actually it's our second 44 housing that TeraFlex has made. As far as proven, I jumped my JK 3-4ft off the ground with one under the front of mine with zero issues.

These are $2049.99 right now, you can get one shipped free in April with our free shipping special. These are just getting out to the market now, that's why you won't find many with them beyond TeraFlex employee's. With the Rubicon version you can run a 35 spline ARB in it.

Seems very promising. I plan to order my new housing through northbridge, as they offer free shipping and other discounts year round. Until Dave starts offering deals with the Tera44 as a direct vendor, I am leaning towards the pr44.

pretty much the reason I was asking, when I was having dave put a quote together for me, he said it would really be a $500ish difference between the two setup the same way. so for being so close in price, I was curious what people thought. I'm hoping to be ordering some point next week if I do order, so if I do, I'll post some more exact numbers, but at this point the teraflex does sound nice; I only worry if I would actually be able to get one in a timely manner! course on the other hand you have the proven PR44, which is only a bad choice if you need a pr60 or 80 instead!

Just bought the PR44 do to the .5 wall thickness and 10 degrees of caster.u am sure TF is a good product I just felt more comfortable with the PR! Having snapped my housing I am still a little nervous about running a 44 anyways.
