Teraflex or AEV 2.5" decision
All of the lifts mention so far are very good. If you are going to use your Jeep 90% on the street and 10% on the trails like you said, then the AEV will be a good choose for you. But only if the 10$ off road don't require a lot of ground clearance. I does not help you lift the Jeep 2,5" and then drop the control arms with the drop brackets. If your 10% off road is easy trails and not a lot of articulation then you will be fine.
If you are going to crawl over big rocks and ground clearance is very important, then go with the Terra Flex or the Rock Krawler lifts. AEV will give you the best on road manners but the other 2 will out perform them off road.

I'm still running the TF lift. But when I do upgrade I'll be going RK. I've got some other stuff I have to do first. Tie rod ends, drag link and ends, ball joints, and brakes. A new lift will have to wait........ : (

And thats the thing, rocks, Even on the easy grade trails there are some substanial rocks to crawl over. It was a beating with the stock suspension and tires which are 32's. Thank goodness for the rubicon rock guards i added, the running boards would have been toast. Even If I was to go AEV I think I would upgrade the LCA's. Which makes me ask insetad of adding alternate parts why not keep it all teraflex.
TF makes a good 2.5 spring lift. If you want to dial in your castor and recenter your front axle, I'd go with Rock krawler LCA's and track bar. All their hard parts are lifetime warranty and very beefy. The RK 2.5 front springs are progressive rate so the ride w the 2.5 RK springs will be stiffer than TF or AEV. The advantage of the RK progressive rate springs is the addition of weight (bumpers and winch) does not sag the nose and you do not loose lift.
Here's a pic of RK's adjustable front track bar vs stock.

RK adjustable front LCA's They're shaped for better clearance past the tire.

I have the TF 2.5 coil. It rides just as good as stock as far as I can tell. I will be adding front LCAs at some point, but haven't seen a reason to replace the track bar just yet. When I was looking at lifts I never even considered aev, and I'm not sure why.
I ordered the TF 3" lift, Bilstein 5100s, exhaust spacer kit, and the TF forged monster front track bar. I can pretty much do anything I want with that setup. The factory arms on the newer JKs are pretty strong. I will upgrade them as needed if needed.
aev and tereflex were my top 2 . i chose aev because, i make no bones about it , its mainly on the road , and street manners are more important to me for that reason . be realistic .. most folks on this site [I]seriously[I] off road , the kind of stuff i just don't do with my jk ( hard core wheeling ) i have a cj that i use for that . so i would say , it truly depends on what kind of wheeling you are going to do , aev is very capable of great off road performance , but if you are a hardcore wheeler , you might consider another lift , but be prepared to lose some on-road manners . just my 2 cents
