Teraflex BB rear trackbar bracket is screwed. Need help.
 

OK, I'm finishing up the Teraflex BB install. I didn't have any issues...until now. I used their template to mark for the hole in the rear trackbar bracket mount and verified by measurement. Everything looked good so I drilled the hole. Then I went to install the new bracket and nothing lines up. I can't get the bolt into the side holes even if I disregard the hole I just drilled. It seems there is a weld seam or something blocking the bracket. But even if I could, the hole I just drilled, per their instructions, is way freaking off. WTH?! I was so ready to say what a good lift this is but now my Jeep is sitting dead in the water in my driveway.

Who knows how freaking long it'll take TF to get me correct bracket? So is there any way to make my Jeep driveable in the meantime? What will happen if I just leave the trackbar in it's factory location? I really do not want to go through the crap of uninstalling all this crap

Mine went on just fine using the provided template. I'm sure if you contact them they'll send you a new one ASAP. The only thing that'll be off with reinstalling your track bar in the factory location is the the axle will be offset to the passenger side. I drove mine like that for a while. You should be fine.

Are the holes in the wrong place, or is the axle just not centered? (assuming the holes are in the right place, you may just need a ratchet strap or something to line up the axle to the holes...)

So if you didn't hold the axle where it was, it is now off-center --> and needs to be re-centered to line up the bolt holes.

The holes are in the wrong place. I used the wratchet-straps liberally while getting the control-arms reconnected both front and rear. I just re-attached the track-bar to the stock location and got it to line up pretty easily. Guess I'll be driving it like that until I get this bracket mess sorted out. :sad2:

CLownhunter, what year is your JK? Could it be that things are slightly different in the 2011's? I mean, I assume TF would know if they did. Just can't figure out how this thing is so off.

Take some pics of you stock TB mount... and the bracket they sent you.

My holes didn't want to line either. Used a dead blow hammer to get the bracket to go in enough to get the trackbar bolt through. The small holes then barely lined up, but I finally get the bolt through. Has to be tight, loose would end up giving you problems later. Good luck.

Com'on now, use a droplight, poor planning:naw:, only took me 17 hrs to install my Superlift in 30 degree weather.I used my lights for warmth and pics!
I did have a buncha beers and coffee breaks though.
