Default Teraflex Big Brake Kit Install Question/Problem

I installed the TF Big Brake Kit this past weekend with my buddy whose a mechanic. We followed the directions via the TF Video and written instructions and everything went on perfectly fine. I've noticed the stopping power has been increased and I feel more safe on the road now with my bigger tires.

The only thing I'm having an issue with is when the tire is spinning, it sounds like a metal brush is rubbing against metal as the tire spins around. I'm not sure whats going on with it and it annoys the crap out of me. I'm also not sure if maybe some of the parts were damaged in transit, nothing looks damaged but my UPS Tracking Number said my package was going to be delayed when it was in transit because of it being in a Train Derailment. My package arrived and the box was all tore up and kinda deformed.

I have 17x8.5 Rims with 0 Offset and 4.75 BS if that makes a difference.

I also have about 150 miles on them so far.

Sounds like the pads are rubbing against the rotors. If it is a constant sound then maybe the pads aren't retracting fully. If it's more of a swooshing pattern (not sure how else to explain it) then the rotors could be warped.

It's not a contant sound... It goes away for a couple seconds and then will come back and stay constant for alittle bit and then do the same. I hit a bump just recently the sound got really high pitched for a couple seconds.

The pads were retracting fine with the clips when we installed them. I'll recheck the pad retraction tomorrow morning when I have time.

Did you lube the pins and use anti-squeal on the back of the pads?

If it didn't call for it in the directions or video then we didn't do it haha. I was getting some other stuff done while my mechanic buddy was working on the breaks so I may have missed that step if he did it.

I would check with him to see if he did it. If not, there are many youtube videos on how to do it.

Does it mention breaking in the pads? Like power stops, etc..

Yeah and I have done power stops and have about 200 miles on them so far. I'll have to monitor it more and see if the sound goes away or stays the same tomorrow.

Keep us posted. I'm looking at this mod as well.

Where did you buy the kit? and price? If you don't mind sharing.
