Default Teraflex bumpstop extension help

Today, while installing my budget boost, I got to the point of installing the bumpstop extensions, and decided it just isn't going in. Is there a special maneuver to get these damn things in or what? They are the 2.75" uppers that just "Pop" in where the factory stops are. But these things WILL not go in! I've even tried trimming a little off with a razor and they still just won't go passed the prongs that hold them.
What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I rode back up to my house, jeeps down at my grandparents where I'm doing the work. I will post a pic when I get back down there. Had to take a breather. Lol

Fronts, right? Pull your coils and shocks out. Stick those bumpstops in there and the fully compress the suspension on that side. The compression will force it into the cup. Then flex the other side and get the same result.

You have to grease those with some wd40 at a minimum. They are a pita! But they will go with some lubrication.

That's what I was thinking.

With the coils removed and shock unbolted, apply some kind of grease or silicon, wedge a piece of wood or something between it and the coil perch and jack up that side of the axle until it pops in.

Well I ended up getting them in, just used motor oil and sheer force. Lol. I had a buddy come over and give me a hand. Completely forgot to snap a picture of the bumpstop, but it is designed basically like the stock one, just much harder rubber. I wish I got back on here to check and get the idea to compress the suspension. Probably would've saved a lot of energy. It's in there now. It was definitely a pain though! Thanks for all the replies! I'm probably going to remove the extensions as its way more bumpstop than I anticipated needing, so I'll be using the compression method to put the old ones back in.
