Has anyone hacked off the clevite bushing and welded on a johnnie joint on either of the front or rear control arms?

#4107132 for the weld on insert and #4116260 for the flex joint. Rebel has done this modification several times with a TeraFlex JK LA kit.

I love the teraflex arms. I think adding a flex joint at the other end might make a little bit of a difference on the trail. Im probably going to start with the front lowers and see how it goes. If anything it may help with the binding. Ive ripped two joints out of the sockets allready, which is pretty common with johnny joints if you really flex it out. Plus I get to cut and weld something. Really simple mod.

I have both front and rear jj runing 40's and 60's. works great, Rebel installed mine and I get lots of flex and strength. Make sure someone who knows how to weld good does it.

Any loss in stability? Also did they drill through the shaft and do plug welds with a bead around connection point?

Correct. We just dont want anyone to get confused, we use all Teraflex hardware when doing this. Some may see johnny joint and think Currie.
