Default Teraflex Disco's rubbing tires

I tried a search on this but couldnt find anything..

I just finished installing a set of Teraflex disconnects 0-3" lift. (my JK's stock for now)

And the install went smooth, but when I disconnect and secure the disconnect links to the teraflex bracket, my tires will rub at full turn. Is this normal? I did install them as per the 2 different write ups on this forum..

I do have stock rubi wheels/tires. Do I need spacers?

I didn't have that problem, and my write-up may have been one of the ones you read. However, I had smaller (I own an X) tires (with larger tires now I have a lift). Some folks have put a washer or two on the turn stops to prevent the tire from running into things at full lock.

x2...post pics so we can help you out. I have a 2" BB and I installed the 0-3" Teraflex disconnects too. When I first installed them, the bolts were very long and annoying my tires at flex. But I just simply turned the bolt around and it's perfect now.

But post pics so we can guide you...NOW!

I have a 3 inch FT lift and 33 inch tires and I use the teraflex discos and haven't noticed any problem with them rubbing at all. Post some pics up.

You might need a washer, or 2, on the turnstops. I had 33s with NO lift on the stock X 16" wheels and they didn't rub the TF discos when I added 2 washers per side.

Lifted and wheel spaced now...no where near them.

the tire rubs on the bolt where the link connects to the sway bar, I was thinking about moving the link to the inside of the sway bar but it looks like the link would rub on the frame, its close already

Yes, Teraflex recommends 4.5" of backspacing. Your factory wheels are 6.25".

I'm running the TF 2.5" bb with 35's and when I am at full stuff and full turn, the tires do rub the disconnected TF links as you show in your pic. My wheels have less backspacing, but my tires are a little bigger and I'm lifted. So wheel spacers or new wheels may solve your issue.

wheel spacers it is then.

I just wanted to make sure I didnt have an obvious installation error, but they really were simple to install

Thank you for you replies
