Default TeraFlex Front SpeedBumps and serious rubbing

Hello,

So I'm hoping to get some advice/feedback to an issue I just ran into today.

Here is the Jeep specs:
'07 4-door JK Rubicon, 12.5" Toyo OpenCountry M/T 35" tires on DC-2 wheels with 4.5" backspacing
Here is the history:
Started out with a 2.5" Teraflex Coil lift, enjoyed the lift but I was getting just a smidgen of rubbing on the front tires full stuff against the outside edge of the fenders. Decided to upgrade to the 3" lift which Teraflex was very nice and swapped out the coils for me no charge! (Thank you Teraflex!). At the same time, I had the Teraflex SpeedBumps installed all around.
I just took her out today for the first time since the 3" coil swap and the installation of the SpeedBumps. My fronts are now getting stuffed so far into the well that I almost ripped off both fenders multiple times today (how they stayed on I have no idea). The only thing I can think of is that the SpeedBumps are letting the suspension compress too much.

Does anyone out there have any experience with these things or any advice?

Thanks!!!

sounds like you just need to install a set of bump stop extensions on your axle like these...

these are sold with the TF 4" kit but i'm sure you can get a set separately. personally, i like these way better than the ones that install up top as those always get hung up in the coils.

Thanks for the advice, that's the same thought I had to solve the problem and I'll move forward now that I have some expert advice pointing me in that direction.

The only thing that bugs me is that I would think the SpeedBumps, as replacement bump stops, wouldn't need extensions as well - but who am I...

Thanks again for the help!

well, if you look at em, at their collapsed length, they're pretty much no taller than your factory yellow rubber bump stops. and, being that you're lifted, you still need to provide some kind of limit to prevent the over compression of your coils. the speed bumps will help to absorb impact but they should not be seen as a replacement to bump stop extensions.
