Default teraflex hinge/adjustable carrier help needed

Hey guys got the hinge and the part of the adjustable carrier that installs on the tail gate installed no problem. Now I'm having a hard time attaching the part that attaches to the tire to the tailgate. I seem to be missing the bolts that hold these together. I tried picking up sone 7/16 bolts but the carrier still seemed pretty loose. Any advice?

You could call Teraflex and explain to them what's going on and that you think you were missing equipment for the install. I'd imagine they'll help you through it and probably send you the missing equipment made for it for free. That's what I would do.

Yeah both them and quadratec are closed on weekends, but I actually found the parts needed. Kind of crazy that two companies that size would be closed on the weekend when a lot of people working on their own rigs are doing it on weekends and might run into problems.

Feel free to PM or email us any questions, we're open on the Saturday and Sunday for that exact reason.

Thanks guys! I have your Lug third brake light kit and I guess I didn't realize you were a parts dealer. I thought you just made the brake light kit and some other little things. I just installed it with the Teraflex Hinge/carrier and am worried about slicing the wires like others have...is there a fix for this or just don't torque the spare to the point that the wheel will slice the wires?

We did find certain wheels will cut the wire; for this we now supply spacers that go on the carrier wheel studs (non-corrosive washers). Please PM us your address and I will get them shipped out to you tomorrow morning.
