Default Teraflex Hinged Tire Carrier Problem

Just got the TF hinged tire carrier and trying to get it on the jeep. the top of the TF hinge appears to be bent outward from door. it is approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch offset from the bottom of the TF hinge. When off the Jeep the part of the hinge that is closest to the spare is off from top to bottom. so the entire hinge will not sit flush and flat against the back door on the top. When I put the bolts in and tightened the top left of the door began to pull outward so the entire door is now off and will not close/open normally. Am I missing something here, is this normal??? I have had no issues with my rear door before this and have only had the stock spare on the back door (just trying to put my full size spare on the back). I will post pics to better show what I am trying to poorly describe...

its already off the jeep...the door was level and straight in line with the rear corners with blocks (as per the directions/videos). The actual hinge was level and looked like every picture I could find until you look down on the top of the hinge where I tried to show the gap at the top left of the hinge to the rear door

gotcha and sorry to hear it. My install was really easy, and yours should be too. It does look like your carrier needs replacing.
