Default Teraflex Leveling Kit Q's

Hey!

I am thinking about jumping on board and getting the Leveling Kit for my 09 Sahara Unltd..

I keep seeing warnings about the possibility of needing wheel spacers or new wheels with the correct backspacing etc etc...

My question is:
Does that only apply when I purchase bigger tires? My plan is to install the kit and keep my 18" Wheels/Stock Rubber until I find wheels and 33's. Will I have any issues with rubbing or anything with the 1" in the back and 2" up front?

Thanks guys

Some kits come with new swaybar links that stick out a bit further than the stock ones. Search a bit for better info, but I believe you can put the new links on the inside so they will not contact the rims.

The other reason would be taller/wider tires. You are staying with stock tires, so no issues there...

No issued with stock tires with my 17in. stock wheels. You will have issues when you get 33's. I did and got spider track wheel spacers.

i am running the TF level kit with 2 in front and 1 in rear and new front links. i have no issues with rubbing. the wheel spacers r needed if u run a wider tire. one thing i got that helped alot with ride quality is front track bar and shock spacers.
also after install make sure u loosen and tighten all control arm bolts on level ground to eliminate pre load in the bushings.

No rubbing issues here with stock wheels & tires.

Check the backspacing of your new rims - you may not need spacers. The need for spacers often depends more on the backspacing of the wheels than anything else.

Thanks to everyone that replied!

I am planning to install this kit on Thursday, I have 5 285/75/R16 Duratracs waiting for some 16x8 Procomp 7089 wheels to come in.

Do I have any reason to be concerned about drive shaft angles, mainly the front I'd guess on an unlimited? Should I install only an inch in the front or the full 2? Anything else that I should be worried about down the road?

On another note, I am wondering if I'll be able to fit the spare on my tailgate mount without any issues.

Just some things that have been buggin me before bed lol.

Thanks for everyone being so helpful. I'll post some before and after shots later on.

I am running the the TF kit with 32s. I got my soft 8s with a 5in backspace. I have a bunch of extra room for 285/75s.
You wont need to worry about drive shaft angles with this small of a lift and a 4 door.
The new tires and wheels wont make contact with the tailgate bumpstops, but get some Daystar tailgate bumpstops. Cut them to the length you need, and they make stuff a bit quieter too.
