Getting 33's just debating on doing pucks on original springs or putting on new springs to level out ,any real diff ???

 

If you are going to add a bumper or winch to the front then Definately get the springs. I have a 2 1/2" spacer up front and a 2" in back with 33"'s. I go mild rock crawling and think it works just fine.

 

The springs will give greater wheel travel, but cost a bit more. The pucks are simple and inexpensive. They pretty much keep the stock ride on the highway.

 

You get what you pay for. Best to go with the Springs. You would need a back space of 4.5 or less so there is no rubbing on the inside.

 

Get the springs, you can add spacers to the springs if you get heavy bumpers and not lose any lift.

 

I did the TF leveling kit and the new discos wore out in 6 or 8 months. I spoke to TF at EJS in the vendor booth and they said to expect 18 months out of them under normal use. The spacers are good, but it's not a long term solution for disco replacements. Get some with servicable joints. I moved up to a 2.5 Rock Krawler kit with new adjustable disconnetcs since then, so you may end up doing it again.

 

A lot of people that go with a spacer lift at first end up upgrading to a coil lift sooner then later. A coil lift will gain you more performance then a spacer lift will any day! Give us a shout if you have any questions about any of our products, good luck with the build!

I went with spacer and the Teraflex leveling kit because I did not want to invest a lot of money right now. My 33's turned out nice but I also trimmed my fenders. I want a new highrock stub bumper now and might wish went with new springs. Oh well.
