I thought of that but that won't get me much more ground clearance in the middle. I usually get hung up on the x-member. 35s will only get me 1.5 additional if that. I'm thinking w 2.5 lift + tires I'm gaining 4" in the center.

Which was my first recommendation. I think you're right on track. It's a shame the exhaust extension mod has to happen any higher.

Bilstien 5100's are sick... i don't know the cost difference but those should suite you just fine. Getting the coil kit is a better bet due to the fact that the springs are 'tuned' for the lift however i don't think your going to loose out using the BB. I think one must do is either quick discos or get cotter pins for more articulation.

was it ORW with the combo deal for less than $700??? wonder if they are still doing the deal?

*edit* heres the link to the post, doesn't hurt to see what the current price is!!! https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...&highlight=orw.

I did the 2.5 Teraflex coil and shock lift.....love it so far.....haven't had opportunity to get off road yet, but the ride, as my better half says, is better than factory......she does have a redneck side to her, like me, and likes the stiffer rides..... I don't plan to do the serious off roading that a lot of guys and gals on here do, but I will take it through the woods every once in a while.....also did it myself and saved those bucks.....if you have a garage and a set of tools it is easy.....don't follow the TF instructions to the tee though.....several things cause redundant work.....anyone interested pm for some advice on this lift install.

2.5 Teraflex coils 100%. I installed mine and enjoy the clearance. It even leveled my Jeep.

A lift does not give you any more clearance at the differential because you are not lifting the axle. The only thing that lifts the axle is larger diameter tires.

*edit*

Ah, I see you said x-member and not differential.

Carry on

I find the ride much better on new coils. I will always go with new coils and new shocks I would go for the Elka shocks if you want high speed off road.
