Default TeraFlex Master Cylinder Bore Size

Investigating a teraflex big brake upgrade, can anyone confirm the bore size of their Teraflex Master Cylinder? Stock JK is 1" I know....

I know this is an old thread, but I was investigating this myself. I did the calculations and I think it is a 1 1/16" bore. By my calculations of stroke volume based on the bore size, you would get approx 13% more stroke volume for the same pedal depress amount. On the Teraflex website, for the master cylinder they carry, they claim "14% more flow". That's pretty darn close to my 13% calculation.

I'm doing some extensive research right now, and I'm making progress. I'm searching for a 1.25" bore master to use for this setup that has the same brake line fittings as the JK and same bolt pattern to the mating surface of the booster. I think I'm going to have success

Any luck since you posted this question a year ago??

Actually I'm glad you responded, reminded me that I need to get a new caliper slider boot kit Switched to porterfield R4S pads last weekend and noticed 3 of the 4 the rubber was brittle and cracking through, (likely from harsh wheel cleaners).

Anyway to answer your question, I was in contact with Joe Thompson @ teraflex a little over a year ago. He had advised he thought the bore size to be 1/8" larger....that seems about right of my memory when I installed.

To be specific you'd have to due some pieRsquared stuff here to get this accurate, but then who knows if that is how TF came up with the 14% increase themselves?

Sidepost: Since I changed porterfield pads my brake feel is fading out. They don't seem to be bedding in like I thought <>
