Default Teraflex Monster Front Trackbar Issue

So I'm pretty sure the answer is an obvious "you dont need an aftermarket trackbar and that one is for much larger lifts", but I figured I'll ask anyways, in case I've some how managed to install it upside down or something. I have the 2"+ OME lift (yellow shocks, 4d standard springs), and I wanted to center the axles since they were a bit off. I managed to get an older model teraflex front track bar, and everything looked good. The front end however felt much stiffer after I put the bar in, and yesterday I realized that the bar was hitting the pitman arm. It seems like because of the way its designed, to curve up over the diff, that this will be an issue no matter what? Did I install it wrong, or if I have more lift will it clear the gap?

That looks like the Gen 1 monster trackbar. It was designed for a 4" lift. I had one on a TF 3" lift, I changed to a TF gen2 when I put the Reid Racing knuckles on for the same reason.

I agree with the above post, you did install it correctly, its not upside down, just looks like you have one for the wrong lift, if you had an extra inch or two of lift, it easily clear the pitman arm.

well, I do have plans for adding onto the lift, but it involved being cheap, using spacers and shock skids. i dont think itll be near 4 inchs though, maybe 3 and a half at the very most. maybe ill hold onto the bar until i put the spacers in, to see if it fits

or maybe heattreater wants to trade trackbars......

I have Reid Racing knuckles to install and I have a TF 3" lift and I have an adjustable TF tb. Does that mean I will have problems like Sneck when those knuckles go on?

if you have the trackbar on already, you will have noticed it. it makes a great sound when you hit a speedbump. but you can also just go look at the frame mount of the track bar, if there is only a tiny gap between the trackbar and the pitman arm bolt, you have issues. more than likely you are fine

I'll check. Thanks Stephen.

I didn't have trouble with the gen 1 and TF 3" lift till I raised the trackbar mount on the axle for the Reids. The new TF trackbar works great.

Not sure if I have the version that will cause problems with the new knuckles.
