Default Teraflex Quick Disco Question

I just installed my disconnects, I'm kinda worried about the pins, the keeper pins that hold them onto the studs. They sure don't look very substantial. Any of you have these? Do the pins stay in well? It just looks like they might get knocked out easily.

I have had similar clips on a teraflex lift on my grand cherokee for 10 years and never had a problem with the pins. I run a TF 4" now and they are very close to the others I had. So far they have been ok...

They do well. I've thrown my jeep around pretty well and they are still in good shape. If they do break, most hardware stores have them.

I bent one when my tire hit it while disconnected, so I replaced them with a "hitch pin" which has a locking ring that folds down over the stud. I then made a lanyard to keep it attached to the swaybar link. It is working well.

I have them also. They are working very well and since almost every hardware store carries them, it's easy for you and on your wallet to carry spares around.

Hey bud, pick up some 3/16" linch pins at Lowe's. They have lock on rings and hold very well and are very cheap. The pins that come in the kit looked flimsy to me too, but I took them off in the very beginning so I don't know how well they would have held up.

Thanks for the replies, I'll get some of those Bull, what I'm afraid of is some brush, or a good limb catching it just right might just push or pull one right out. So I'll pick up some spare pins to have just in case.

Yeah, I keep a couple of back up sets just in case. You will probably leave off the washers too in the end. I thought the stock pins rattled and made a bunch of noise driving too! The linch pins make zero noise and appear to be solid as a rock. By the way, we're moving the next meetup to Southlake right off of 114. You better be there this time>>>> We'll also be out in Gilmer next weekend doin' a little wheeling!

"Linch Pins" from Home depot. A Pin with a spring loaded ring. Probably the same as mentioned before (Hitch Pins) but Home Depots version. These replaced my TeraFlex
pins

I'm not sure if it is spring loaded, but they have that effect once the ring flips over into a locking position....
