Default Teraflex Quick Disconnects

Anybody else have fitment issues sliding the link onto the lower pin mount? I tried lubing and was able to get the link on but there was no way I could manhandle it off and i'm not a small dude. I actually ended up having to use a soft blow mallet to get it back off which kinda defeats the purpose of "quick". Kinda remember reading someone w/ same issue but search showed nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure the Jeep is on level ground. I have had them go on no problem and then I have used a mallet too. I have heard having someone sit on the bumper can help too.

I have the same issue with my TF disconnects. They are very tight. I have had them for over 6 months now and still have to pry them off with a screwdriver and use channel locks to get them back on the pin.

Make sure that you put them on when on level ground and take them off on level ground. Other than that, have someone pull / push on the bumper to help get them on/off. I keep a mallet for that purpose though.

No problems with mine - but as other posters have pointed out, the jeep needs to be level. Back when I used to manually unbolt my stock ones I had the same problem, if it's not level it's not going to line up, regardless of what type of quick disconnect you have.

The issue isn't being on level ground - it doesn't get more level than my garage. The issue is how tight the bushings are. If you are on level ground, can you take yours off without using tools to do so?

My buddy's are tight. We've had to pry them off before. Grease helped from there on.

Wow, I've had them on for some months now but neved had opportunity to use them. This means I need to move them on and off a couple of times before hitting the trail.

Thanks Familytime. I wasn't sure if that would work or not and didn't want to tear up the bushings. No issues?
