It's been awhile since I installed mine, but I did do a write-up. You might take a look at that and see if it helps. I think I got replacement bolts, but ended up using the stockers because they were much easier to install. And, I also recall my writing up a caution about not swapping certain bolts because although they have similar size threads, they are not, in fact, identical. So I suggest you look it over carefully.

Teraflex Quick Disconnect Install

For those of you having trouble getting these to take grease: Try Loosening up the grease fitting before applying the grease.

exactly! Yours was the write up I saw, and in your pics of the stock links, it shows that the top bolts do not come off the stock links. so if someone was going from stock to the TF quick disconnects, then they would be S.O.L. b/c they do not come with new top bolts.

and the bottom bolts from the stock links do not fit through the sway bar at the top.

I have no idea. my bottom bolts are wider then the tops and won't fit thru the sway bar. I'll probably just drill out the sway bar holes so the bottom bolts fit. mine is a Rubicon if that matters?? maybe jeep tried to save a few cents by using smaller bolts, lol

If you don't mind me asking, why would you want discos for the rubi?

I had to cut my top bolts in order for the sway bar to go all the way up. Kind of a pain in the ass but it is fine now.

for 2 reasons.

1: I wanted longer links.
2: completely disconnected is way better then using the electronic disconnect. you get much more flex being truly disconnected.
