Default Teraflex Rear spacer question????

Hey Everybody!!!

got a question for you???

1. I have the 2.5 inch Teraflex Buget boost on witht the shocks....
2. after putting on my tire carrier and adding a bunch of weight it is now sagging 2 inchs in the rear if i had my seat in with a person back there it was much much worse almost back to stock
3. So i got a great deal on 2.5 inch teraflex Coil spacers.
4. This is the main question??? how in the heck do you install these things i know it goes above the coil but It was a PITA to get them in before. I know there are coil compressers out there but after reading a few other posts they said they dont work so well because they go on the inside of the coil???

Let me know your throughts what I might do is loosen up the control arms and remove the shocks and take the track bar back out in the rear and take the swaybar links off and try to pry the 2.5 inch coils in with the 2.5 inch spacer kit. this should be a fun Thursday morning

U can get compressors that go on the outside. U get your jk up high enough, take your trackbar loose along with shocks , swaylinks, and loosen your ca's, your rear coils will fall out. There's something wrong with you sagging 2 in in the rear. My 4in. Tera coils don't sag any that I can tell with an xrc bump/carrier and 37in spare.edit: sorry thought u had the coils, see u got the spacers, take it all loose and get high enough, they'll fall out

Hmm, r u trying to add another set of spacers? You need better coils, not more spacers

No i got the kit with the 2.5 inch coils and shocks....after putting on the or-fab tire carrier and with the Jerry can and high lift jack with the 33" Nitto trail grappler and XD addict rim on the back it squatted Alot! before adding the tire carrier it was sitting level... Here are some pictures to show you the difference...

I know its on a small hill but it was sitting just about level that is what it looks like right now the rear is that low!!!

I put on 1/2" TF spacers (more for the coil retention dongle than height) and I used WD-40 and a jack. IIRC, I used a floor jack and some sort of extension on the driver's side, and the factory scissors jack on the passenger side sitting on top of the axle because something was in the way of the floor jack. It sucked.

I'd get stiffer coils if I were you, anyway. That's the real solution to your problem.

In JK Write-ups, there is an index stickied up top. Open 'any' of the lift write-ups in the suspension area, they all follow the same steps regardless of coil or spacer lift. As noted, coil compressors work great. Loosen all the bolts, disconnect the trackbar, and use the tallest jack stands you can find, this will let you drop the axle further on the opposite side to give more room to get the coils/spacers in.

And an opinion - 2.5" TF coils + 2.5" spacers doesn't sound right. How compressed are those coils with all that weight? Personally I'd look at swapping in the 2.5" coils from a 4door, or the 3" coils for a 2door, rather than add a 2.5" spacer on top of sagging coils...

I would not stack a rear 2.5" coil spacer on top of a 2.5" coil. Your going to need more parts to make it work correctly. At most a 1" spacer.

Add a front bumper and winch and call it a day.
