I was in exactly the same boat as you. Had the TF 2.5 BB and moved on to a RK 2.5 spring lift. I kept the TF track bar relocation bracket in place and didn't use the RK one. No problems here.

I would also wonder to myself why all of the larger lifts come with an axle side bracket and not a frame side one?

Maybe the stock axle bracket is a known weak point that should be reinforced? I said you may have issues with shock clearance, not that you would for sure.

Nothing against the Teraflex part, I have run Teraflex parts. Point is to best avoid issues and add strength to a known weakness.

Now I will sleep better!

i thought it was a company specific thing?

doesn't Teraflex use the same bracket for all their lifts (frame side), and Rock Krawler use the same for all their lifts (axle side)?

Not true. TeraFlex uses the #1954202 frame side bracket in the 2.5" kits, but now only in the 2.5" BB kits and the 2.5" coil/shock extension kits. Other wise th 2.5" coil kits use the #1954776 axle mounted trackbar bracket. 3" and taller kits use the #1954777 axle mounted trackbar bracket.

#1954777 3-holes
#1954776 2-holes

It certainly is up to you, but here are the real differences no matter what manufacturer you choose.

Raising the track bar mount on the axle raises the rear roll center of the vehicle which improves the handling.

Lowering the rear track bar by dropping it at the frame connection point does not!

That is why you see so many companies raising it versus lowering it. This also goes for the front end as well...

Hope that helps.

Thank you too, RK, for chiming in!

I will replace the bracket with the one that came with my RK kit.

can you give me some insight on your rear swaybar links? they look like they are not greasable?

We offer two different types of rear sway bar links. Either standard bushing ends or heim jointed units. The bushing ends have teflon impregnated into the bushings so as long as they are sprayed with WD 40 every one and a while, they will never dry up! The heim joints are teflon lined as well...
