Return them, they're new and should be perfect.

Clean them and touch them up. It's no big deal.

Default TeraFlex Rock Sliders

I received them yesterday. When I opened the package they are structurally fine but there is paint removed from it in small spots from rubbing. (dime sized)

I would like to not have to send these back sense they've been on order since March. I don't have a problem re-painting them (touching up) but wanted some input.
  1. Should I return them?
  2. Should I paint them?
  3. If so, anyone have a preferred method? I have some rustoleum flat black that will work that's left over from when I re-finished my 6X10 trailor.

Thanks in advance for the input.

Keep them, but ask teraflex for a discount on a bumper or lift

I just ordered the same ones yesterday. If they are scratched when they get here I will use some black fingernail polish on them and then see if I can scrape it back off ...wipeout

Please dont take this the wrong way but why are you asking? If you dont mind painting them you really just answered your own question didn't you?

I totally understand wanting the product in perfect shape and if you dont like the quality of them return them but it is you that has to make that decision.

Absolutely.

I can afford them and I like the look. They protect the side of the Jeep. I do go off-road sometimes but the likelihood of me bottoming out to where they actually "slide across a rock" is a lot less than an extreme off-roader.

As for Northridge4x4:

You're correct. I guess I kinda have made the decision to paint them but I do value the opinion of the experts on this board and will take all constructive advise to heart. That's all I'm saying.
