Default Teraflex Shocks

I'm looking at adding the Teraflex 9550 shocks to my JK. These shocks don't have a boot that covers them like other shocks I see. Do I need to add a boot to them?

Those shocks came with my lift and I've been running for almost a year without boot covers. I found a a thread on the forum debating boot vs no boot. I opted to run "boot-less" because I read that mud/dirt/salt etc. can get into the boot and you wouldn't really notice to clean it out.

Boots are worthless, they end up tearing, melting on the exhaust and retain mud and water.

X2. Been running Teraflex lifts and shocks on my JK and previous jeeps bootless for years. No issues or concerns...
