Most Level kits just offer spacers for the coils. Thus no more Flex.

You can't add flex to a stock suspension by only installing taller springs. Shocks limit flex. The bump stops limit "stuff" and the shock limits "droop" so the suspension is still operating in the same range regardless of springs or spacers.

I replaced my JK springs and Teraflex Leveling Kit with JKU springs. Gained about 1.5" and a MUCH better ride/handling/flex. No problems with Shock length but if you want more, put the money you save towards longer shocks.

There are a number of forum threads that cover swaping in JKU springs. In my case, I had 14 Front/54 Rear (last two numbers on the tags) and swapped in 18/59 JKU springs (there are up to 19/60 available). The larger the difference be between then numbers, the more lift you'll get.

The JKU only had a few hundred miles on it ... so everything was essentially new ... and it came with HD shocks (will probably sell since I have HD shocks). Cost under $100 off local Craigs List equivalent -- if you're around a larger metro area you'll see almost new JKU springs/shocks come up frequently.

IMHO, you'll be happier going this route than a Teraflex spacer kit ... and, it's cheaper.

You know, you're probably right. I had 59s rear and 14s front. I hated the 14s, they were very floaty, but the 59s were fine. I probably could have just gotten a stiffer spring in front, like a 16 and would have been perfectly happy. If anyone is thinking of doing the teraflex leveling kits (performance or spacers), consider this option first. I think you'll be pretty happy with it.

I had the dough to spend and went for the performance leveling kit and rancho 9000 shocks. Will update with pics.

Here are pictures of my teraflex performance (coils) leveling kit and rancho rs9000xl shocks. Went through Eric Miles at Off Road Elements for parts, and BDR Automotive in Holliston, MA for install.

My tech said he thought the ride would be really rough, but it wasn't at all. It's just as smooth as the stock sahara/sport ride.

I just ordered the 1.5" kit but am a little concerned. It does not look like yours lifted much if any in the back. I have 60 springs already so hope I get at least 1" more in back. If you measure from the center bottom part of the rear flair to the ground what do you get? thanks

About 37 inches.

If you're concerned about getting a lot of lift, you should get a true lift kit like the OME 2 incher or AEV 2 incher. Or possibly throw pucks in the rear to compensate? I had 59s and I only notice a subtle difference in the back. I would guess I got a little less than an inch if I had to estimate or maybe exactly an inch. Definitely not more... I did have 14s in the front though, so that would explain why the front looks monstrousily bigger.

I wasn't going for a lift, just looking to give the JK a little bit more of an aggressive stance.

If you want a good deal, talk to Eric Miles at offroad elements let him know Tim referred you emiles@offroadelements.com

mine is at 37" stock already but I am running 33" tires and yours look like 32". Fronts are 17 with a 3/4" puck. I don't want big lift just want it up a little and to be level, I am worried the front might be too tall. I ordered from rockridge4x4 already $330 shipped so please tell me I did not pay too much.

$330 seems like a pretty good deal to me, but it will suck if you have to return it. it's listed at $399 on there now though...
ORE was the best deal I could get.

I asked them to give me the best deal they could give shipped and they offered it to me for $330. I know ORE was quite a bit higher when I bought my teraflex hinge so I did not pm them, this time, probably should have tho. I usually pm 3 or 4 vendors and ask for their best deal and take the best one, this time Rockridge was best.
