Default Teraflex Steering Stabilizer

Ok, I'm at the point where I think I need to get a heavy duty SS for the jk unlimited x. I think the stock is too wimpy for the 2.5" bb I installed. Is there anyone that sells these as I heard there are 2 models available?

I beg to differ. I know a guy who runs 37's on a 5 inch lift with the stock SS. It's actually fairly good. It's just in a terrible location. Are you looking to fix a problem with this upgrade?

Hey Everyone out there, You can put two or three stabilizers on your truck and still not fix your problem. It's been said here before by numerous people. You guys should really read more before you post. I'm hoping no one is offended by this.
I bent my JK's stabilizer due to it's very bad location and left it off for a few weeks. It was fine without it and I run 35"s with a RockKrawler 3.5" lift. The only reason I installed a new one was because I had to bring my JK in for 2 recalls. I know my dealer would have freaked out if they found it removed. I live in the land of stock 4 doors that go as far as the beach parking lots. Their Jeeps are their beach house cars. I also run a TJ with 36"s and no stabilizer and have had many YJ's without them too.

In laymens terms, If you have all of the geometry correct you won't have any problems. The stabilizer compensates for minor discrepencies.I could get technical but I don't see any reason to.

Again, I'm not trying to bash anyone here just using my years of experience with Jeep building here.

Thanks, Bob

Default SUPERLIFT stabilizers works well

my stock stabilizer leaked at 2000k at that time no relocation recall+no stock, ordered+installed superlift works well, nice mounting and adds a little stiffer feel to steering, have had on for over 35 000km with no issues, now that I have my suspension worked out(3" teraflex spring kit with control arms+front track arm my 2 door rubi drives much nicer than stock in town+on highway(and of course off road)

rickl, that is what I'm trying to obtain. A little stiffer ride. I'm also planning on ordering an adjustible front track bar and I'm trying to figure out what springs to add next to help compensate with all the added weight I'll be adding. I have the 2.5" BB and plan to be adding another 220lb to the front. Adding another spacer is ok for an approach but I'd prefer to stiffen the ride a little and add stiffer springs. Maybe coils from a 3" lift if that is possible without getting the whole kit.

Some semantics here; A better way to stiffen the steering, is to adjust the caster with adjustable upper control arms. To stiffen the ride, then yes put stiffer springs on there. But using a SS to stiffen the steering is a band aid approach, and a SS will not stiffen the ride in any way.

Sure it could, if the SS rolled over the tie rod because of loose bolts anything could happen.
