Default Teraflex trac bar

Are Teraflex trac bar bushings rebuildable or does it need to be replaced? I finally had some help out in the garage tonight trying to track down my DW. Wife was turning the wheel back and forth and noticed both ends of the trac bar moving. Bolts not moving, just the ends inside the mounts. Took one end loose and examined. Sure enough, movement . This is the Teraflex Monster HD trac bar.

Only about 50k . After some research, I found that they do make a rebuild kit. I guess I will need to get two kits, one for each end. Going to check a local Teraflex dealer and see if they might have the repair parts and if not, guess I will just have to make other driving arrangements for the next week. Hadn't noticed any issues with it until I did an alignment after wheeling last weekend. Had a toe out of almost 1/2" so....set it back to 1/16" toe in...drove to store and BAM!!! DW. Guess I could reset my toe to out again until the parts get here but, don't want to take the chance of messing up my tires worse than they already are.

Just a quick update....

Talked with Dave@Northridge and Joe@Teraflex. Have decided to go with a whole new TF trackbar. I have one of the first styles and the bushings that they used to use(bad style, Poly bushing) is know to have problems after a lot of mileage. Easier and better to just replace the whole thing with the new design. Thanks to both of those guys for their help and advice.

When did you buy it or do you know when they started using "better" bushings?

Also check out Kevins Offroad, he has (pricey) high durometer replacement bushings. I chose to only replace one end and leave the other end Clevite. No DW issues here

It was one of the very first TF Monster track bars way back in 2007. The ends were/are a polyurethane bushing style that is prone to wear out over time. It is amazing I got the mileage out of it I did, almost 60k before any problems. Teraflex does make a bushing replacement kit but, the newer style track bars are so much easier to adjust.
