Have you looked into the Rancho RS9000XL shocks? They're pretty sweet I must say

I have the BB 2.5" lift also, get the Rancho 9000's it rides so good off and on the highway very smooth ride not a clue of stiffness. You sometimes forget that you are ridding a solid axle vehicle. Mine is a JKU 14 fyi. I adjust my shocks on the 3 mark

I had TF9550 at first. I have 5100 Bilsteins now. When I changed I can say I felt a difference. Now that I've had them for a year or so I think they ride a little rough too LOL. But, to answer your question, IMO I say they ride a little smoother, not GREAT, but good.

The Bilsteins run firm, I actually liked my Teraflex ones but switched over to the Rancho's which are adjustable my favorite so far for sure..... Watch for sales on them.

The Ranchos were the editor's choice in "Overland Journal's" comparison test. They'll be my next shock.
